Live festival paella catering in Salford

How our festival paella catering works in Salford

A paella stall covers several diets at once: meat, seafood and vegan pans side by side. That simplifies your food line-up. For farmers’ and Christmas markets and community events and open days, we can cook chicken and chorizo paella, vegan paella and churros and more.

At a fête or field event near Salford, a paella stall brings a hot, filling meal to a rural site. Ground conditions and access matter, so tell us about them. We serve straight from the pan, so every plate is hot, and service is quick once it’s ready.

Prices and what affects them

There are no hidden charges: the quote reflects:

  • The paellas you choose
  • How many guests are eating
  • How many staff you need
  • Plates, cutlery and glassware

Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so the menu you choose affects the price. We’ll suggest options to suit your budget.

What we need to know

The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Please include:

  • A photo of the space, if you can
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • The date and rough timings
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers

We quote for each event separately, so you only pay for what you need. For a quote, use our quote form.

Salford questions

What’s the nearest station to Salford for guests?

The closest is Aspley Guise station, roughly 1.6 miles away.

Do you come out to small places like Salford?

No, we cook in small places too. Tell us about lanes, gates and parking.

Which areas do you serve?

London and South East England: Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight.

When should we book?

As soon as you have a date. Peak dates go quickly, so get in touch early.

Will there be enough food?

We size the pans for your numbers and the rest of the menu. Tell us what else is being served. See how much paella per person.

When do you arrive?

That depends on your menu and numbers. We agree the timings in advance.

Who clears up?

We pack down our cooking area after service. Clearing guests’ plates and tables can be added with waiting staff.

Can we add tapas or canapés?

Yes, it is the classic pairing. Tapas go out first, then the paella.

The process

Watching it cook is half the fun. We start with the sofrito, add the stock and saffron, then spread the rice across the pan and leave it alone to cook. At midsummer, events in Salford stay light until about 9:25pm, so evening trading normally finishes in daylight in high summer. For winter markets, dark by about 3:50pm, the pitch needs lighting.

  1. Organisers send us the event details, dates and pitch information.
  2. We confirm our menu, pitch needs and documents.
  3. On the day, we arrive and set up our pitch.
  4. We cook in front of the crowd and serve from the pan all event.
  5. At the end, we clear our pitch.

How to prepare

  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Leave space around the cooking area
  • Make sure we can park close by to unload

How to get a price

It’s easy to get a price: share your date, venue, numbers and diets. We’ll come back with a clear quote and a suggested menu.

Planning the cooking area

We’ll be honest if a space will not work, and suggest an alternative. The main points are:

  • Details of power, water and waste arrangements
  • Vehicle access to the pitch at set-up and break-down
  • Pitch space for cooking and serving

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise.

Live paella or other catering?

Hot-cabinet food lacks theatre. Paella cooking in full view sells itself. The price depends on your guest numbers, the menu and how many courses you choose, along with staff, extras and travel. Every event gets its own quote.

Why Salford hosts choose us

  • Live cooking, not reheated food
  • Waiting staff and crockery on request
  • No hidden extras in your quote
  • Events in Salford and across Milton Keynes

Catering for every guest

Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:

  • Check allergen info is on display
  • Ask traders about packaging and waste
  • Put all trader information in one pack
  • Check how many portions traders can serve

We keep our pitch tidy and safe.

Tapas and churros can be added to a stall menu.

Should I cook it myself?

Some hosts like to cook themselves. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

If you do cook yourself, test the pan and burner together beforehand, have hot stock ready, and leave the rice alone once it is in. And keep children and pets well away from the burner.
