Live festival paella catering in Molesey

About our festival paella catering in Molesey

Because paella is cooked in big batches, it handles lunchtime rushes well. Each portion takes seconds to serve. For summer fairs and fêtes and VIP and hospitality areas, we will put together a menu of seafood paella, giant-pan paella and vegan paella for your guests.

Summer fairs around Molesey are frequently run by volunteers, so a self-sufficient trader makes life easier. Every pan is cooked in front of your guests, so it arrives hot and becomes part of the event.

Chicken & chorizo paella

Popular with families.

Vegan paella

Vegan visitors get a real meal.

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the cooking.

If you do cook yourself, test the pan and burner together beforehand, keep the stock hot, and don’t stir once the rice goes in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.

Planners, venues and businesses

Hosting a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about parking, and we will let you know if live paella is a good fit.

For larger events, we plan the number of pans and serving points around your timings, so guests are fed quickly. Tell us how long you have for food.

Molesey questions

Can you cook in Cigarette Island Park?

Only with permission from the park’s owner, usually the council. Ask them first, and we will send any information they need.

Do you trade at school fairs around Molesey?

Yes, if the school is happy for us to cook on site. Send us the date, pitch and expected numbers.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes, and they’re popular with everyone. Each is cooked separately, with its own stock and utensils.

What paperwork do you provide?

Tell us what the event needs and we’ll send it with our application.

Can you handle a lunchtime rush?

Service from the pan is fast, ideal for peak times.

What space do you need to cook?

Not a lot: a level spot clear of fences, hedges and branches, with room for a serving table. If in doubt, send a photo.

How long does the paella take?

It depends on the menu and numbers. We agree the timings in advance so the paella is ready when you want it.

Do you cook inside?

Indoors only where ventilation and the venue allow it. Most events have us cooking outside or in a doorway or courtyard.

How it works

Here’s how the day normally runs: we set up the pans and start the sofrito, your guests watch the rice cook, and it is served hot from the pan when you are ready to eat. At midsummer, events in Molesey stay light until about 9:20pm, which helps evening trading. For winter markets, dark by about 3:55pm, the pitch needs lighting.

  1. First, we check the dates.
  2. We agree what we will serve and where.
  3. Burners and pans go up.
  4. The first pans are ready as visitors arrive.
  5. We serve, then clear the pitch at the end.

How to prepare

  • Tell us where to park and unload
  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Arrange a covered spot for wet weather

Choosing a paella caterer

Catering for every guest

Few dishes handle mixed diets as well as paella, because each paella is cooked in its own pan. A few tips:

  • Put all trader information in one pack
  • Ask for allergen information at each stall
  • Ask about peak-time capacity
  • Check every diet is covered by the line-up

At the end, we clear the pitch and leave it clean.

Bowl food for easy eating on the move.

Space, weather and the venue

We cook in large pans over gas burners, so the cooking area needs a little planning. These are the things we check:

  • Your trader pack and site rules
  • A level pitch on firm ground
  • Your arrangements for power, water and waste

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise before you book.
