What happens on the day

On the day, we set up our cooking area, light the burners and start the sofrito. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, so the timing is planned around your event. Summer events in Michelmersh have daylight until about 9:25pm at midsummer and about 7:10pm by late September, so evening trading normally finishes in daylight in high summer. For winter markets, dark by about 4:00pm, the pitch needs lighting.

  1. Tell us about the event and pitch.
  2. We confirm menu, pitch needs and documents.
  3. We arrive and set up at the agreed time.
  4. We cook and serve throughout.
  5. We clear and leave the pitch clean.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. Booking us means you get the show without the stress.

Prices and what affects them

Every event is priced individually, based on a few main things:

  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
  • Timings and hours
  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • Distance and access to the venue

Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so the menu you choose affects the price. We will suggest options to suit your budget.
