Festival paella catering for Canada events

How our festival paella catering works in Canada

We can trade as a stall or cook for crew, volunteers and VIP areas. On the menu are churros, seafood paella and giant-pan paella, and we are frequently booked for county and country shows and village fêtes.

At a field event near Canada, power and water may be limited; let us know and we’ll plan for it. All the cooking equipment comes with us, and we clear our cooking area away afterwards.

The process

Once the rice is in, we do not stir it. That is what gives paella its separate grains and crispy base. Your guests will smell it before they see it. Summer events in Canada have daylight until about 9:25pm at midsummer and about 7:10pm by late September, so evening trading usually finishes in daylight in high summer. Winter markets, dark by about 4:00pm, need a well-lit pitch.

  1. We check your dates.
  2. We agree what we will serve and where.
  3. We set up our burners and pans.
  4. Pans are cooking as gates open.
  5. We serve, then clear the pitch at the end.

Planning help

Should I cook it myself?

Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.

Some hosts like to cook themselves. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

How we price festival paella catering

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • How many guests are eating
  • The paellas you choose
  • Travel, parking and access
  • How many courses

Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: staff, crockery, sides, travel and VAT. We itemise ours.

Getting an accurate quote

To speed things up, tell us:

  • Expected numbers
  • Whether the venue has crockery or staff
  • A picture of where we’d cook
  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts

Planning festival paella catering in Canada? Send us the details and we will come back with ideas and a quote. To contact us, send us your details through our quote form.

Is live paella right for your event?

Not every trader covers vegans. A vegan paella pan sits alongside the others. Extras such as tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are priced separately, so you can choose exactly what you need.

Why Canada hosts choose us

Dishes our guests love

Giant paella pans

The giant pan is the star.

Chicken & chorizo paella

Smoky and filling, popular with families.

Space, weather and the venue

Most gardens and venues can host live paella, but there are a few things to check:

  • Details of power, water and waste arrangements
  • A level pitch on firm ground
  • Access for unloading at set-up

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise before booking.

Your questions about festival paella catering in Canada

Can you cook at venues in the New Forest National Park?

Yes, though some venues in protected landscapes have extra rules; ask your venue. We’ll follow the site rules.

Can you run a stall at a school fair in Canada?

Yes, with the school’s permission. Tell us the date and pitch details.

Is it really cooked live?

Yes. Every paella is cooked from scratch on site, where your guests can watch.

How much paella per person?

We plan quantities from your guest numbers, timings and other courses, with a little extra built in. Accurate numbers help.

What do you need at the venue?

Not a lot: a flat spot away from anything flammable, with space to serve. Send us a photo if you’re not sure.

What documents can you send?

Send us your list.

Can vegans eat at your stall?

Yes. There is a vegan pan next to the others.

Do you cater in Canada?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, including Canada. For a quote, send us your details through our quote form.

Planning for every diet

Few dishes handle mixed diets as well as paella, because each paella is cooked in its own pan. A few tips:

  • Check every diet is covered by the line-up
  • Book crew catering in advance
  • Agree waste arrangements with traders
  • Give traders a single information pack

Crew meals are served at set times.

Perfect for your event in Canada

It handles peak times well, thanks to big-batch cooking.

Live paella suits almost any gathering. People in Canada book us for events such as:

  • Christmas and farmers’ markets
  • School and charity events
  • Crew, volunteer and VIP catering
  • Open days

If you are organising a summer fair or fundraiser for a school such as Wellow School, a paella stall is a crowd-pleaser.
