What festival paella catering costs

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, because of:

  • The paellas you choose
  • Whether you need crockery
  • The length of service
  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff

Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: staff, crockery, bread and salads, travel and VAT. We itemise ours.

What to tell us

You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:

  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • The date and time of the event
  • Diets and allergies you know about

Still deciding on the menu? That’s fine: give us the basics about your event, and we will suggest a menu. To start, use our quote form.

Before you choose a spot

The right spot keeps things safe and helps the paella cook evenly. We look for:

  • Firm, level ground
  • Your trader pack and site rules
  • Pitch space for cooking and serving

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly.

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but you’ll still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. A caterer handles all of that.

You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right at scale is tricky. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.

Paella compared with other options

For crew catering, sandwiches are easy but uninspiring. A hot paella keeps crew going. Larger events normally cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Why book with us

Your questions about festival paella catering in Bramshaw

Do you come out to small places like Bramshaw?

No, we cook in small places too. Tell us about lanes, gates and parking.

Can you cook at venues in the New Forest National Park?

Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and cooking, so check with yours. We will follow the site rules.

Do you provide plates and cutlery?

Yes, if you need them. Let us know what you have, and we’ll quote for the rest.

How soon do we need to book?

As soon as you have a date. Popular dates book up first, so contact us early.

Can you do sangria?

We can make sangria, and we can staff a bar with your drinks.

Can you cook in the rain?

Rain does not stop us, as long as there is a ventilated cover. We will talk it through before the day.

What paperwork do you provide?

Share your trader requirements.

What space do you need to cook?

Not a lot: a level spot clear of fences, hedges and branches, with room for a serving table. Send us a photo if you’re not sure.

Step by step

Serving is fast: we serve straight from the pan, so even a long queue moves. Afterwards we clear our cooking area away. Summer events in Bramshaw have daylight until about 9:25pm at midsummer and about 7:10pm by late September, which helps evening trading. For winter markets, dark by about 4:00pm, the pitch needs lighting.

  1. It starts with your event details and pitch information.
  2. You get our menu, pitch requirements and paperwork.
  3. We arrive at the agreed time to set up the pitch.
  4. Pans cook in full view and we serve throughout the event.
  5. We pack down and leave the pitch tidy.

Preparing for the day
