Wedding paella catering for Weston events

Planners, venues and businesses

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we are happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It keeps things simple.

Venues frequently have their own rules about outside caterers: cooking areas, access times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

Wedding paella catering for your wedding in Weston

Evening paella is a favourite: hot, filling and served quickly from the pan, so evening guests are fed and the dancing carries on. On the menu are table tapas, Spanish desserts and evening paella, and typical bookings are for spanish-themed and destination-style weddings and weddings with mixed diets.

Weddings in a place like Weston often feel personal: a local church, then a marquee in a garden or field. A giant pan on the lawn fits right in. Let us know about access for the van. All the cooking equipment comes with us, and we clear our cooking area away afterwards.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:

  • Pick a serving style
  • Count day and evening guests separately
  • Tell us when speeches will be
  • Introduce us to your venue coordinator

We clear our cooking area away afterwards; staff you’ve booked stay as agreed.

Sangria and bar staff can be added.

Should I cook it myself?

A DIY paella party works for small groups. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles separate pans for each diet.

You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right at scale is tricky. Read how to cook paella for a crowd.

Where we can cook in Weston

Most gardens and venues can host live paella, but a few things matter:

  • A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
  • Confirmation that open cooking is allowed
  • Space well away from trees, fences and gazebo walls

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and we’ll say what we think before you book.

The sea is within about 2 miles, perfect for a seafood paella wedding. Coastal wind needs a sheltered cooking spot.

Choosing a paella caterer

Weston: your questions answered

What about events near the coast?

Yes, as long as we can shelter from the wind. Sea breezes cool the pan, so a windbreak, building or gazebo helps.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Holy Trinity Church?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking normally happens at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Can we add tapas or canapés?

Yes, it is the classic pairing. Tapas first, paella to follow.

What space do you need to cook?

A level space for the pans, burners and a serving table, outdoors or in a marquee or well-ventilated area, and the venue’s permission for live cooking.

Do you offer tastings?

Ask us about tastings when you get in touch.

Can you bring crockery?

We can. Tell us what your venue provides and we’ll include the rest in the quote.

Is paella too casual for a wedding?

Served well, it feels generous and special: canapés, table tapas, good crockery and staff serving the tables.

How far ahead should we book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Ask about your date even if it’s soon.

What happens on the day

On the day, we set up our cooking area, light the burners and start the sofrito. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, so the timing is planned around your event. In Weston, midsummer sunset is about 9:25pm, and by late September it is nearer 7:10pm, which means evening paella is generally served in daylight in June and July. For autumn and winter weddings, when it’s dark by about 4:00pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.

  1. Share your date, venue, numbers and plans for the day.
  2. We build the menu course by course and send a quote.
  3. Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
  4. We cook live on the day and serve every course on cue.
  5. We clear our cooking area, and staff stay as agreed.
