FAQs for West End

How far is West End from London?

About 26 miles from central London, and we cover it as standard.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Holy Trinity?

Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Live cooking usually happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

What if photos overrun?

We adapt. We keep in touch with your venue on the day and time the rice so it is served at its best.

How long do you need on site?

It depends on the menu and numbers. We agree the timings in advance so the paella is ready when you want it.

How much paella per person?

We plan quantities from your guest numbers, timings and other courses, with a sensible margin. Give us accurate numbers for the best result.

Do you offer halal options?

Yes, on request. Tell us how many guests need halal food, and it is cooked separately.

Should we have more than one paella?

Two or three covers most guests. Tell us about your guests’ diets and we will suggest the mix.

What about supplier meals?

Yes. Include suppliers in your numbers.

About our wedding paella catering in West End

We plan the wedding menu with you, course by course, to suit your guests, venue and budget. We are often asked to cater big weddings with every diet and farm and barn venues, with canapé tapas, Spanish desserts and a paella wedding breakfast.

For a smaller place like West End, a garden or farm wedding is often the dream. We’ll need a level spot and a way to reach it. Everything is cooked from scratch at your wedding, never made in advance and reheated, and served as soon as it’s ready.

What’s in the pans

Evening paella

Fresh pans for evening guests, quick to serve and filling.

Table tapas

Tapas set out on every table to share, such as patatas bravas, croquetas and Manchego.

How the day works

We arrive in good time before you want to eat, set up the cooking area and get the stock going. Guests normally gather round to watch as the paella takes shape. For a summer wedding in West End, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so an evening paella for evening guests is usually served in daylight in high summer. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it’s dark by about 3:55pm.

  1. You tell us your date, venue, guest numbers and how you picture the day.
  2. Together we plan each course and confirm the price.
  3. Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
  4. On the day, we set up, cook in front of your guests and serve each course.
  5. We pack down our cooking area, with staff staying as long as agreed.

Before we arrive

  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to cook
  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Check the venue allows live cooking

Diets, allergies and planning

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. We suggest:

  • Connect us with your coordinator
  • Ask about diets and allergies with your RSVPs
  • Send us the running order and speech times
  • Let us know about meals for your band or photographer

We generally set up where guests can watch, which makes a lovely backdrop for photos.

Table tapas make a sociable starter.

Planning the cooking area

We’ll agree the cooking spot with you before the day. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
  • Clearance from fences, hedges, branches and anything flammable
  • A separate open-sided gazebo if the meal is in a marquee

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly before booking.

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

Some hosts like to cook themselves. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the cooking.

You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but you will still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. A caterer handles all of that.

What affects the price in West End

There’s nothing hidden: the quote reflects:

  • The number of people
  • Whether you need crockery
  • The length of service
  • Distance and access to the venue

Travel, parking and access can affect the price, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. The full price is confirmed before you book.

What we need to know

For a quote, it helps to have:

  • The date and time of the event
  • A photo of the space, if you can
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • Which courses you have in mind

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: venue, timings, courses and extras. When you are ready, fill in our quote form.
