Common questions in Sheet
Is Sheet too small for live paella?
Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates and parking.
Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Mary Magdalene?
Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking generally happens at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.
What space do you need to cook?
Level ground for the burners, pans and a table, outdoors or in a marquee or well-ventilated area, plus the venue’s agreement to cooking.
Which areas do you serve?
London and the South East: Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight.
Will there be enough food?
Pans are sized to your numbers and other courses. Let us know about any other food. See how much paella per person.
Do you provide drinks?
Sangria can be added, and provide bar staff to serve drinks you supply.
Can you do gluten-free paella?
A gluten-free pan is no problem. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can plan it carefully.
How much does wedding paella catering cost in Sheet?
It depends on guest numbers, the menu, the courses, staff and travel. Send us the details for a quote.
About our wedding paella catering in Sheet
Sangria, bar staff, crockery and waiting staff can be added, so the catering fits the way you want your day to feel. We cook evening paella, a paella wedding breakfast and table tapas, and we are regularly asked to cater big weddings with every diet and weddings in a marquee or garden.
There is something special about a country wedding near Sheet, and an open-air paella adds to it. Plan access and cover in case of rain. We cook every pan in full view of your guests, so it arrives hot and becomes part of the event.
Organising for someone else?
If you’re organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we will work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.
Throwing a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about parking, and we will tell you honestly whether live paella will work.
Catering for every guest
Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal included. To make it work smoothly:
- Check the venue’s rules for outside caterers
- Send us the running order and speech times
- Tell us how many evening guests to expect
- Add a dietary question to your RSVP cards
We clear our cooking area away afterwards; staff you’ve booked stay as agreed.
Sangria and bar staff can be added.
Why choose live paella in Sheet?
Hog roasts are popular but tricky for mixed diets. Paella covers them with separate pans. Live paella frequently compares well with a sit-down meal, because it needs no kitchen and fewer staff. Ask us for a quote.

What else we do in Sheet
Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?
Some hosts like to cook themselves. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the cooking.
A DIY paella party works for small groups. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.
Before you choose a spot
Before the day, we will agree where we cook. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:
- Somewhere close to park and unload
- Good ventilation: outdoors, or an open-sided cover
- An open-sided catering gazebo next to the marquee
If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise before you book.

The process
We take care of the food from set-up to service, so you’re free to enjoy your wedding. Any tapas or canapés are served first while the paella cooks. In Sheet, midsummer sunset is about 9:20pm, and by late September it’s nearer 7:05pm, which means evening paella is normally served in daylight in June and July. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it is dark by about 4:00pm.
- We check availability for your date.
- You pick the courses and dishes.
- We confirm everything with your venue.
- Guests watch the paella cook during the reception.
- We serve and clear our cooking area.
Preparing for the day
- Share the running order, including any speeches
