How our wedding paella catering works in Neatham

Paella as evening food is popular: it’s hot, filling and quick to serve, so evening guests are fed and the dancing carries on. For evening food for extra guests and wedding receptions after a small ceremony, we can cook Spanish desserts, a paella wedding breakfast and evening paella.

Rural weddings around Neatham have a magic of their own, and paella cooking in the open air adds to it. Plan access and cover in case of rain. We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests, each in a separate pan.

Choosing a paella caterer

What affects the price in Neatham

The price comes down to a few factors:

  • How many courses
  • Waiting and bar staff
  • Plates, cutlery and glassware
  • Distance and access to the venue

The cost per head usually falls as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

Details that help

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • The address or venue name
  • What the venue already provides
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • The courses you’d like

Getting a quote is simple: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We’ll come back with a clear quote.

Live paella or other catering?

If you’re weighing up paella against a traditional menu, think about your venue, your guests’ diets and the feel of the day. The price depends on your guest numbers, the menu and how many courses you choose, plus any staff, crockery and travel. We quote for each event individually.

How the day works

We cook over gas burners in wide, shallow pans. We need a level, ventilated spot, and we agree where that is before the day. For a summer wedding in Neatham, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so an evening paella for evening guests is normally served in daylight in high summer. For autumn and winter weddings, when it is dark by about 4:00pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.

  1. Share your date, venue, numbers and plans for the day.
  2. Together we plan each course and confirm the price.
  3. Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
  4. On the day, we set up, cook in front of your guests and serve each course.
  5. We pack down our cooking area, with staff staying as long as agreed.

Before we arrive

  • Keep the cooking spot clear of fences, hedges and branches
  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Let us know the timings for the day

Questions from Neatham

Is Neatham close to London?

Roughly 43 miles from the centre of London.

What’s the nearest station to Neatham for guests?

The closest is Alton station, roughly 1.3 miles away.

Do you provide drinks?

We can make sangria, and we can staff a bar with your drinks.

Do you do starters?

Yes, it’s the classic pairing. Tapas go out first, then the paella.

Can you cook indoors?

Indoors only where ventilation and the venue allow it. Most events have us cooking outside or in a doorway or courtyard.

Can paella feel formal?

Served well, it feels generous and special: canapés, tapas, crockery and table service.

Can you cater the whole day?

Yes. Canapé tapas, table tapas, a paella wedding breakfast, evening food and desserts, or any part of that.

Can you supply plates?

We can. Tell us what your venue provides and we’ll include the rest in the quote.

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

A DIY paella party works for small groups. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles separate pans for each diet.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. Booking us means you get the show without the stress.

What’s in the pans

Paella wedding breakfast

A choice of paellas, served at the pans or to the tables.

Desserts

To finish: churros, crema catalana or your wedding cake.

Space, weather and the venue

We will be honest if a space will not work, and help find another spot. What matters most:

  • Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site
  • Parking close enough to carry equipment
  • A level, firm spot for the burners and pans

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly.
