Wedding paella catering in Maybush, cooked live
A wedding paella is food and entertainment at once. Guests wander over to watch while the photos are taken, and the meal arrives hot and generous. Typical bookings include weddings with mixed diets and vow renewals and civil ceremonies, with Spanish desserts, evening paella and a paella wedding breakfast.
Weddings in a place like Maybush frequently feel personal: a local church, then a marquee in a garden or field. Paella cooked on the lawn suits that perfectly. Let us know about access for the van. Tapas, canapés, desserts, sangria and staff can all be added, so one booking can cover the whole menu.

DIY paella versus live catering
You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but there is shopping, prep and hours of cooking. We take care of all of it.
Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.
Dishes our guests love
Desserts
A sweet finish: Spanish desserts or your own cake.
Canapé tapas
Canapés keep guests happy between the ceremony and the meal, without spoiling appetites.

Dietary needs and planning tips
Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:
- Let us know about meals for your band or photographer
- Introduce us to your venue coordinator
- Check the venue’s rules for outside caterers
- Share your running order, including speeches
We normally set up where guests can watch, which makes a lovely backdrop for photos.
Canapé tapas with the drinks reception keep guests going during photos.
What we need at the venue
Before the day, we will agree where we cook. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:
- The venue’s permission for live cooking
- Access for unloading near the cooking spot
- Space well away from trees, fences and gazebo walls
If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and we’ll say what we think before you book.
Popular choices
- Evening paella

What wedding paella catering costs
Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:
- Whether you need crockery
- How many courses
- Guest numbers
- The paellas you choose
Live paella pricing depends on the event. A garden party lunch and a full wedding menu are very different jobs. Your quote spells it all out.
Details that help
Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:
- A picture of where we’d cook
- Where the event is
- Which courses you have in mind
- Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers
We need only a few details to quote: date, location, guest numbers and diets. You can send us your details through our quote form.
How it works
On the day, we set up our cooking area, light the burners and start the sofrito. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, so the timing is planned around your event. At midsummer, sunset in Maybush is about 9:25pm, so we can time the evening paella around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:55pm, and in late September about 7:10pm.
- You tell us your date, venue, guest numbers and how you picture the day.
- We build the menu course by course and send a quote.
- Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
- We cook live on the day and serve every course on cue.
- We pack down our cooking area, with staff staying as long as agreed.
Before we arrive
- Share the running order, including any speeches
- Choose a level spot for the cooking area
- Plan cover in case of rain

Common questions in Maybush
Could we have live paella in St James' Park?
Only if the landowner, normally the council, allows it. Check with them, and we’ll provide our paperwork.
What about events near the coast?
Yes, as long as we can shelter from the wind. Wind is the main issue on the coast, so we plan shelter.
Do you cook inside?
Indoors only where ventilation and the venue allow it. Most events have us cooking outside or in a doorway or courtyard.
Do you do starters?
Yes, it’s the classic pairing. Tapas go out first, then the paella.
How soon do we need to book?
As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Ask about your date even if it is soon.
Can you supply plates?
Yes, if you need them. Tell us what your venue provides and we will include the rest in the quote.
Can you do gluten-free paella?
Yes, on request. The rice is gluten-free, but stocks and chorizo can contain gluten, so we cook a gluten-free paella separately.
Can you cater the whole day?
Yes. Canapé tapas, table tapas, a paella wedding breakfast, evening food and desserts, or any part of that.
