Wedding paella catering for your wedding in Lower End

Evening paella is a favourite: hot, filling and served quickly from the pan, so evening guests are fed and the dancing carries on. Typical bookings include weddings in a marquee or garden and weddings with mixed diets, serving canapé tapas, a paella wedding breakfast and table tapas.

Near Lower End, weddings are frequently in fields, barns or gardens. Live paella is made for that: no kitchen needed, just a level, sheltered spot. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. Tapas, canapés, desserts, sangria and staff can all be added, so one booking can cover the whole menu.

How it works

Here’s how the day usually runs: we arrive, set up and start cooking, your guests watch the rice cook, and we serve straight from the pan when you are ready to eat. In Lower End, midsummer sunset is about 9:25pm, and by late September it’s nearer 7:05pm, which means evening paella is generally served in daylight in June and July. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it’s dark by about 3:55pm.

  1. Share your date, venue, numbers and plans for the day.
  2. Together we plan each course and confirm the price.
  3. We fit our timings around your speeches, photos and venue.
  4. On the day we set up, cook live and serve each course as planned.
  5. We clear our cooking area, and staff stay as agreed.

Before we arrive

  • Have a gazebo or cover ready if rain is likely
  • Ensure the spot is clear of anything flammable
  • Ensure we can park close by to unload

FAQs for Lower End

Is Lower End too small for live paella?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.

How far is Lower End from London?

About 44 miles from central London.

Can you cook in the rain?

We need a covered spot, such as a gazebo, marquee or open-sided barn with good ventilation. We plan for rain with you in advance.

How long does the paella take?

We get there in good time to set up. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, and we time it to your schedule.

What if our speeches run late?

Tell us and we will adjust. We keep in touch with your venue on the day and time the rice so it’s served at its best.

Can you bring crockery?

Yes, if you need them. Tell us what your venue provides and we will include the rest in the quote.

Can you liaise with the venue coordinator?

Of course. We are happy to talk to your venue about access, timings and requirements.

Do you have a kids’ option?

Of course. A simple chicken paella is usually popular with children. Tell us how many are coming.

Organising for someone else?

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We will provide any information the landowner or council asks for.

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can hold the date.

Should I cook it myself?

Cooking paella for a crowd yourself is possible, but it is harder than it looks. Large pans need the right burners, and getting the rice right at scale is tricky. Read how to cook paella for a crowd.

Some hosts like to cook themselves. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the cooking.

What wedding paella catering costs

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, depending on:

  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • Starters, canapés and desserts
  • The number of people
  • Whether you need crockery

Larger events typically cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

What we need to know

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • Where the event is
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
  • What the venue already provides

Each quote is tailored to your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we’ll confirm whether we’re available that day.

Paella compared with other options

Choosing between paella and a traditional menu?, consider your venue, diets and the style you want. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the courses, plus any staff, crockery and travel. Every event gets its own quote.

Planning the cooking area

Most gardens and venues can host live paella, but a few things matter:

  • A safe distance from anything that could catch
  • A separate open-sided gazebo if the meal is in a marquee
  • Flat, firm ground for the cooking area

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly before you book.
