Questions from Highclere
Which station should guests use for Highclere?
Newbury station, about 4.3 miles north-east of the centre.
We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Michael Archangel: can you cater afterwards?
Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking typically happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.
Can you feed our photographer and band?
Just add them to your numbers. Let us know when they need feeding.
Should we have more than one paella?
Two or three is usual: meat or mixed, seafood, and vegetable or vegan. We’ll help you decide the split.
Do you take everything away?
Our cooking area is packed away and left clean. Ask us about table clearing if you need it.
Can you supply plates?
Yes, on request. Crockery, cutlery and napkins, or good-quality disposables can be added to your booking.
Is halal food available?
We can. Tell us how many guests need halal food, and it is cooked separately.
How much paella per person?
We plan quantities from your guest numbers, timings and other courses, with a sensible margin. Accurate numbers help.
How our wedding paella catering works in Highclere
We can cater your whole wedding day or one part of it: canapé tapas with the drinks, table tapas, paella for the wedding breakfast, evening food and desserts. Popular choices include evening paella, table tapas and a paella wedding breakfast, and we’re regularly asked to cater marquee and garden weddings and food for evening guests.
There’s something special about a country wedding near Highclere, and an open-air paella adds to it. Plan for access and a wet-weather cover. Every pan is cooked in front of your guests, so the food is hot, fresh and part of the occasion.

Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.
Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but there’s shopping, prep and hours of cooking. We take care of all of it.
Dietary needs and planning tips
Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Here’s how you can help:
- Introduce us to your venue coordinator
- Count day and evening guests separately
- Pick a serving style
- Tell us when speeches will be
Paella can be served at the pans or carried to the tables by staff.
Spanish desserts, or your own wedding cake, finish the meal.
Live paella or other catering?
Hog roasts are popular but tricky for mixed diets. Separate paella pans cover every diet. Larger events normally cost less per head, because the cooking set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.
