Wedding paella catering for Dial Post events

How we price wedding paella catering

Each event is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • The paellas you choose
  • Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
  • The number of people

Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. The full price is confirmed before you book.

What to tell us

You don’t need every detail fixed to get a quote, but it helps to know:

  • The address or venue name
  • Which courses you have in mind
  • Expected numbers
  • Your date and when you want to eat

Getting a quote is simple: share your date, venue, numbers and diets. We’ll send a clear, itemised quote.

How our wedding paella catering works in Dial Post

Evening paella is a favourite: it’s hot, filling and quick to serve, so the party keeps going. We’re frequently asked to cater sharing-style wedding meals and vow renewals and civil ceremonies, with canapé tapas, a paella wedding breakfast and table tapas.

Rural weddings around Dial Post have a magic of their own, and paella cooking in the open air adds to it. Plan access and cover in case of rain. We plan the timings around your day, whether that is speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

Catering for every guest

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Here’s how you can help:

  • Confirm the venue’s catering rules early
  • Introduce us to your venue coordinator
  • Send us the running order and speech times
  • Ask about your date as soon as you have one

We clear our cooking area away afterwards; staff you’ve booked stay as agreed.

A table tapas starter gets everyone sharing.

Planning the cooking area

We’ll agree the cooking spot with you before the day. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • A cooking spot outside the marquee, not inside it
  • A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
  • Confirmation that open cooking is allowed

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Dial Post: your questions answered

Do you come out to small places like Dial Post?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.

How far is Dial Post from London?

About 39 miles from central London, and we cover it as standard.

Do you cook it at the event?

Yes, always. Every paella is cooked from scratch on site, in front of your guests.

Can you cook halal paella?

Yes, we do. We use halal chicken and leave out pork and alcohol, in its own pan.

What areas do you cover?

London and South East England: Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight, including Dial Post.

Is paella too casual for a wedding?

With the right presentation, it feels special: canapés, table tapas, good crockery and staff serving the tables.

Can you cater the whole day?

Any part of the day, or all of it, from canapés to evening food.

What does wedding paella catering cost?

It depends on guest numbers, the menu, the courses, staff and travel. Tell us about your event and we’ll send a quote.

Our caterer checklist

Live paella or other catering?

A hog roast is popular at weddings, but harder for vegetarian, vegan and halal guests. Paella covers them with separate pans. The price depends on your guest numbers, the menu and how many courses you choose, along with staff, extras and travel. We quote for each event individually.

Why choose Love Paella in Dial Post

  • Food that becomes part of the entertainment
  • Everything cooked fresh at your event
  • Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests
  • Plates, cutlery and waiting staff available

The process

The paella is cooked in giant, shallow pans over gas burners. It needs a level spot with some shelter and good ventilation, and we agree where that is before the day. At midsummer, sunset in Dial Post is about 9:20pm, so we can time the evening paella around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:50pm, and in late September about 7:05pm.

  1. Tell us your date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan your menu course by course.
  3. Timings are agreed with your venue.
  4. We cook live on the day and serve each course.
  5. We pack down, and staff stay as agreed.

Preparing for the day

  • Let us know who to talk to on the day
  • Get the venue’s permission for cooking
  • Leave space around the cooking area

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles separate pans for each diet.

Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.
