Wedding paella catering near Bagnor

How our wedding paella catering works in Bagnor

At a wedding, paella is both the meal and a bit of a show. Guests drift over to watch the pans while the photos are being taken, and the meal arrives hot and generous. On the menu are Spanish desserts, a paella wedding breakfast and canapé tapas, and we are regularly asked to cater garden and marquee weddings and civil partnerships and vow renewals.

Near Bagnor, weddings are frequently in fields, barns or gardens. Live paella is made for that: no kitchen, just a level, sheltered spot. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. We plan the timings around your day, whether that is speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

Seafood paella in its pan, set on the table to share

Live paella or other catering?

A hog roast is popular at weddings, but harder for vegetarian, vegan and halal guests. Separate paella pans cover every diet. Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so your choice of paellas affects the total. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

What you get with us

  • A quote that spells everything out
  • Everything cooked fresh at your event
  • Sangria, plus bar staff for your own drinks
  • Tapas, canapés and desserts if you want them

Planning the cooking area

We cook in large pans over gas burners, so we need a suitable spot. These are the things we check:

  • Clearance from fences, hedges, branches and anything flammable
  • A separate open-sided gazebo if the meal is in a marquee
  • Good ventilation: outdoors, or an open-sided cover

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly.

What happens on the day

We get there well before serving, unload, set up the burners and prepare the stock. Guests usually gather round to watch as the paella takes shape. For a summer wedding in Bagnor, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, which means evening paella is normally served in daylight in June and July. For autumn and winter weddings, when it’s dark by about 4:00pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.

  1. We check availability for your date.
  2. You choose canapés, tapas, paellas and desserts.
  3. We confirm the plan with your coordinator.
  4. The pans cook while guests enjoy the drinks.
  5. We serve and clear our cooking area.

Common questions in Bagnor

Is Bagnor too small for live paella?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.

We are having a ceremony at Parish Church of St Mary: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking usually happens at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Do you cater for suppliers?

Yes. Include suppliers in your numbers.

Which areas do you serve?

London and the South East: Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight, including Bagnor.

Do you cater for young children?

Yes, children are easy to cater for. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we will plan for them.

Is the paella cooked on site?

It is. We bring the pans, burners and fresh ingredients and cook on the day, then serve straight from the pan.

What if photos overrun?

We adapt. We keep in touch with your venue on the day so the paella is served fresh.

Is the paella gluten-free?

We can cook a gluten-free paella in its own pan. Tell us about any coeliac guests when you book so we take the right care.

For planners, venues and organisers

For big numbers, we plan pans and serving points to keep queues short, so guests are fed quickly. Let us know how long the food break is.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where cooking is allowed, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

How we price wedding paella catering

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
  • The number of people
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert

Tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are optional extras, so you can choose exactly what you need.

What we need to know

When you contact us, it helps to tell us:

  • Your date and when you want to eat
  • Which courses you have in mind
  • The address or venue name
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

Still deciding on the menu? No problem: give us the basics about your wedding, and we’ll suggest a menu. To start, fill in our quote form.

Should I cook it myself?

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, have hot stock ready, and leave the rice alone once it’s in. And keep children and pets well away from the burner.

Catering for every guest

Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal included. To make it work smoothly:

  • Connect us with your coordinator
  • Collect dietary needs on the RSVP
  • Count day and evening guests separately
  • Ask whether your venue allows outside caterers

If things run late, and we will adapt the timing so it is still served fresh.

Add sangria, or bar staff to serve your own drinks.
