Paella catering across EN3
Watching it cook is part of the experience. Guests gather round as the sofrito sizzles and the saffron colours the rice, and the smell does the rest. Popular choices include paella Valenciana, seafood paella and mixed paella, and we’re frequently booked for fairs, fêtes and festivals and milestone birthday parties.
We arrive in good time before you want to eat, set up the cooking area and get the stock going. Your guests are welcome to watch while it cooks.
- Start with the date, the place and the numbers.
- We come back with paellas to suit your guests, plus any extras.
- A week or so before, we confirm the plan.
- On the day we cook live, timed around your event.
- We serve, then leave our area tidy.
What you will pay
Extras such as tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are priced separately, so you only pay for what you want.

Live paella across EN3: what to know
EN3 covers everything from Ponders End, Enfield Highway and Enfield Lock to 1 small villages and hamlets, and live paella suits every kind of setting. Town events mean planning parking; village events mean planning access.
Ponders End: Thinking of a picnic-style party in Enfield Town Park? Public parks normally need permission from the council or landowner for cooking, so check first. School fairs and fundraisers, for a school such as St Matthew's CofE Primary School, can book us as a food stall. Planning an evening event in Ponders End? Sunset is around 8:55pm in late May, 9:20pm at midsummer and 7:05pm in late September; once it is dark, we need light to cook and serve by.
Planners, venues and businesses
For big numbers, we plan pans and serving points to keep queues short, so guests are fed quickly. Let us know how long the food break is.
Planning an event for a club, school or charity in EN3? Paella is quick to serve to a crowd and suits most diets. Tell us about the event and we will suggest a menu.
What we need at the venue
Before the day, we will agree where we cook. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:
- Somewhere close to park and unload
- The venue’s permission for live cooking
- Level ground for the pans and burners
About the dishes
Black rice
Squid ink rice is bold and savoury, and is popular with adventurous guests.
Paella Valenciana
Paella Valenciana is the original: chicken, beans and saffron, rather than seafood. It is a favourite with guests who don’t eat fish.
Why live paella works
Outdoor events and live paella go together: cooked outside, served hot and shared.
Whatever you’re celebrating in EN3, paella can be the star of the food. We frequently cook for:
- Garden get-togethers
- Leaving dos and retirements
- Festivals, fairs and school events
- Company summer parties
Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?
You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. Large pans need the right burners, and getting the rice right at scale is tricky. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.
Some hosts like to cook themselves. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the cooking.
EN3 questions
What does paella catering cost?
Every event is quoted individually, based on what you actually want. Give us your date, numbers and menu ideas for a clear quote.
How do you work out quantities?
We size the pans for your numbers and the rest of the menu. Tell us what else is being served. See how much paella per person.
What happens if it rains?
Rain does not stop us, as long as there’s a ventilated cover. We’ll talk it through before the day.
Do you cook it at the event?
Yes, always. We cook from scratch in large pans at your venue, in front of your guests.
Can you cook indoors?
Only in a suitable, well-ventilated area with the venue’s permission. Courtyards, doorways and terraces frequently work.
Can you do gluten-free paella?
We can, if you tell us in advance. The rice is gluten-free, but stocks and chorizo can contain gluten, so we cook a gluten-free paella separately.
Are premium seafood options available?
Seafood choices are agreed when we plan the menu, including premium options if you want them.
- Cooked live in giant pans at your event
- Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options
- Paella, tapas, canapés and desserts
- Sangria, bar staff, crockery and waiting staff
