Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?
Some hosts like to cook themselves. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the cooking.
DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.
FAQs for Uxbridge
Is Uxbridge close to London?
Roughly 17 miles from the centre of London, and well within our area.
Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Andrew?
Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is generally elsewhere. Send us the reception address.
Do you do starters?
Yes, and it is a popular combination. Tapas go out first, then the paella.
Will the neighbours notice?
Paella is cooked over gas, so there’s cooking steam and smell but little smoke. Neighbours may well want an invitation.
When should I book?
Early is best, but ask even if it is soon. Send your date and we’ll check.
How much does paella party catering cost in Uxbridge?
The price depends on numbers, menu, courses, staff and travel. Send us the details for a quote.
Do you cook it at the event?
It is. We arrive with everything we need and cook it there and then, then serve straight from the pan.
Can you supply plates?
Yes, on request. Proper crockery or quality disposables can be added to your booking.
Diets, allergies and planning
We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests. To make it work smoothly:
- Give separate numbers for children
- Add a diet question to the invitation
- Have bins ready
- Plan seats for most guests
When service is finished, we pack down quietly, so the party carries on.
Sangria sets the mood.
The process
Expect a friendly, organised team. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, set up our cooking area, and get on with cooking and serving. A summer party in Uxbridge stays light until about 9:25pm at midsummer, so a garden party can run well into the evening. By late September sunset is around 7:05pm, so plan festoon lights for later parties.
- We check your date and the space.
- You pick paellas, tapas and desserts.
- We set up the burners and start the sofrito.
- In goes the rice, and guests gather.
- It is served hot, and we clear away afterwards.
How to prepare
- Share the running order, including any speeches
- Get the venue’s permission for cooking
- Tell us where to park and unload
Ask for a quote
To get a price, fill in our quote form. Give us the details of your party, and we’ll suggest paellas and extras to suit.

Big or small, live paella works well. Typical bookings include:
- Christenings and naming days
- Anniversary celebrations
- Garden get-togethers
- Street parties and neighbourhood get-togethers
Christenings and naming days often start at a local church such as Church of St Andrew, with a paella lunch at home or in a hall afterwards.

Is live paella right for your party?
