Paella party catering in Sedrup, cooked live

A paella party takes the cooking off your hands without turning the day into a formal dinner. We set up in the garden or venue and cook as your guests chat. We cook churros, vegetable paella and chicken and chorizo paella, and typical bookings are for family get-togethers and neighbourhood celebrations.

In a small place like Sedrup, a party in the garden or a nearby field is frequently the plan. Let us know about access, and we’ll plan the set-up. Everything is cooked from scratch at your party, never made in advance and reheated, and served the moment it is ready.

For planners, venues and organisers

For larger events, we plan the number of pans and serving points around your timings, so guests are fed quickly. Let us know how long the food break is.

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

What paella party catering costs

Each event is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:

  • The number of people
  • Timings and hours
  • The paellas you choose
  • Whether you need crockery

Premium seafood costs more than chicken or vegetables, so your choice of paellas affects the total. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

Getting an accurate quote

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • The date and time of the event
  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts

Send us the date, your venue or HP17 postcode and guest numbers, along with any dietary needs, and you’ll get a menu idea and a price. Just fill in our quote form.

What we need at the venue

No two venues are the same, so we’ll ask about yours when you contact us. Generally, we look for:

  • Send a photo of the garden so we can check
  • The venue’s permission for live cooking
  • Clearance from fences, hedges, branches and anything flammable

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly before you book.

How it works

On the day, we set up the burners and pans and start cooking the sofrito and stock. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, so the timing is planned around your event. Sunset in Sedrup is about 8:55pm in late May and 9:25pm in late June. If the party runs past dark, we’ll need light where we cook and serve.

  1. We check your date and the space.
  2. You pick paellas, tapas and desserts.
  3. We set up the burners and start the sofrito.
  4. In goes the rice, and guests gather.
  5. We serve hot and tidy our area afterwards.

Hosting a paella party in Sedrup

FAQs for Sedrup

Is Sedrup too small for live paella?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Tell us about lanes, gates and parking.

We’re having a ceremony at St Mary's Church: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking typically happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

Is the paella gluten-free?

We can, if you tell us in advance. Rice is naturally gluten-free, but stock and some ingredients may not be, so we cook a gluten-free paella separately.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, and they’re popular with everyone. They have their own pans, stock and spoons.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We take our equipment and leave the cooking area tidy. Ask us about table clearing if you need it.

What do you need at the venue?

Not a lot: a flat spot away from anything flammable, with space to serve. Send us a photo if you are not sure.

What areas do you cover?

We cater across London and the South East, Buckinghamshire included. See all areas.

Do you cook it at the event?

Yes, always. Every paella is cooked from scratch on site, in front of your guests.

Planning for every diet

We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests. To get it right:

  • Plan where rubbish goes
  • Have enough chairs for most guests
  • Keep a clear zone around the cooking area
  • Add a diet question to the invitation

When you’re ready to eat, we serve straight from the pan.

Bread, salad and lemon wedges round off the meal.

It works for all ages and diets, from children to grandparents.

If you’re planning any of these, we can help:
