Planning for every diet

With a little notice, every diet is easy. Our advice:

  • Arrange a gazebo in case of rain
  • Warn the neighbours
  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Add a diet question to the invitation

The cooking area stays tidy and safe, with space kept clear around the burners.

Sangria sets the mood, with an alcohol-free version for drivers and children.

Live paella or other catering?

If you want special but not formal, live paella is hard to beat. The cost per head normally falls as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

Dishes our guests love

Chicken & chorizo paella

Smoky, satisfying and popular with children, ideal for guests who skip seafood.

Churros

All ages love churros.

Step by step

Here’s how the day normally runs: we arrive, set up and start cooking, your guests watch the rice cook, and it’s served hot from the pan at the agreed time. At midsummer, it’s light in Friday Street until about 9:20pm, so a garden party can run well into the evening. In late September it is dark by about 7:05pm; add lights for the evening.

  1. We check your date and the space.
  2. You pick paellas, tapas and desserts.
  3. We set up the burners and start the sofrito.
  4. The rice goes in and your guests gather round.
  5. It’s served hot, and we clear away afterwards.

Common questions in Friday Street

How far is Friday Street from London?

About 24 miles from central London, and well within our area.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes, and meat eaters frequently go back for seconds. Each is cooked separately, with its own stock and utensils.

Is my garden big enough?

Most gardens are fine. We need a level spot, clearance from anything flammable and reasonable access. A photo helps.

Can you supply crockery?

We can. Tell us what you need and we will include it in the quote.

Can you serve tapas as well?

Yes, it is the classic pairing. Tapas go out first, then the paella.
