Paella party catering for Englefield events

How our paella party catering works in Englefield

A paella party means no cooking for you, and no formal dinner either. We set up in the garden or venue and cook as your guests chat. We’re often asked to cater street parties and neighbourhood get-togethers and retirement celebrations, with seafood paella, churros and tapas.

In a small place like Englefield, a party in the garden or a nearby field is frequently the plan. Let us know about access, and we will handle the rest. We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests, each in a separate pan.

For planners, venues and organisers

Hosting a party at home? Send us a picture of the garden and tell us about access, and we will tell you honestly whether live paella will work.

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can hold the date.

What paella party catering costs

Your quote will be clear and itemised. What affects it most:

  • Whether you need crockery
  • How many courses
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Your choice of paellas

Travel, parking and access can affect the price, so it helps to tell us about your venue. Everything is confirmed in writing.

Details that help

The more we know about your party, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • Where the event is
  • Anything your venue supplies
  • The date and rough timings
  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts

Not sure what you need yet? That’s fine: give us the basics about your party, and we’ll suggest a menu. To start, send us your details through our quote form.

Englefield questions

Is Englefield too small for live paella?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Mark?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is normally elsewhere. Tell us where the reception will be.

What if the weather’s bad?

We cook under cover, such as a gazebo, marquee or open-sided barn with good ventilation. We will agree a wet-weather plan with you.

Can you supply plates?

On request. Crockery or disposables are available.

Can you cook in my back garden?

Most gardens are fine. We need a level spot, clearance from anything flammable and reasonable access. A picture helps.

Can you cook halal paella?

Yes, we do. Halal paella is cooked with halal chicken and no pork or alcohol, in a separate pan.

Can the paella be cooked in a hall?

Mostly outside or under an open cover, because we use gas burners. We’ll check whether your venue has a suitable space.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, and they’re popular with everyone. Each is cooked separately, with its own stock and utensils.

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, keep the stock hot, and leave the rice alone once it is in. And keep children and pets well away from the burner.

A DIY paella party works for small groups. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles separate pans for each diet.

Live paella or other catering?

Unlike a barbecue, paella is ready at once, so everyone eats together. And nobody is stuck at the grill. The price depends on your guest numbers, the menu and how many courses you choose, along with staff, extras and travel. Every event gets its own quote.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Here’s how you can help:

  • Count adults and children separately
  • Ask guests about diets when you invite them
  • Let the neighbours know
  • Plan seats for most guests

We arrive before your guests to set up, so the cooking is under way as people arrive.

Bread, salad and lemon wedges round off the meal.

Where we can cook in Englefield

We cook in large pans over gas burners, so the cooking area needs a little planning. These are the things we check:

  • Parking close enough to carry equipment
  • Send a photo of the garden so we can check
  • Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise.

Popular choices

How the day works

We arrive in good time before you want to eat, set up the cooking area and get the stock going. Your guests are welcome to watch while it cooks. At midsummer, it’s light in Englefield until about 9:25pm, which gives a garden party a long evening. By late September sunset is around 7:10pm, so plan festoon lights for later parties.

  1. Send us your date, address and numbers.
  2. We suggest paellas and extras and send a quote.
  3. We set up before guests arrive.
  4. Guests watch the paella cook.
  5. We serve from the pan and pack down.

Preparing for the day

  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Make sure the spot is clear of anything flammable
  • Confirm the venue is happy with live cooking
