What paella catering costs

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Your choice of paellas
  • Plates, cutlery and glassware
  • How long we’re needed on site
  • Parking and unloading

There’s no one-size-fits-all price for live paella. A garden party lunch and a full wedding menu are very different jobs. We itemise everything in your quote.

What to tell us

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what to include:

  • A picture of the cooking space, if it is a garden or field
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • The courses you’d like
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children

Still deciding on the menu? No problem: give us the basics about your event, and we will make suggestions. To start, fill in our quote form.

Space, weather and the venue

If a space is not suitable, we’ll tell you, and suggest an alternative. What matters most:

  • Open air or a well-ventilated covered spot
  • Level ground for the pans and burners
  • The venue’s permission for live cooking

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise.

What we offer

  • Black rice (arroz negro)
  • Vegetable paella
  • Seafood paella
  • Mixed paella
  • Chicken & chorizo paella
  • Vegan paella
  • Paella Valenciana

Paella compared with other options

Food trucks and street-food vans serve one portion at a time. A big pan serves many guests fast, so everyone can eat at the same time. Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. Everything is confirmed in writing.

Why book with us

  • Sangria, plus bar staff for your own drinks
  • Paella cooked from scratch on site
  • Options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests, each in its own pan
  • Plates, cutlery and waiting staff available

How it works

When we arrive, we set up our cooking area, light the burners and start the sofrito. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, so we time everything to your schedule. In Wrecclesham, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 4:00pm, so winter events need lighting where we cook.

  1. Send us your date, numbers and venue.
  2. We plan the menu with you, including every diet.
  3. We arrive in good time to set up.
  4. The sofrito, stock and rice go in, and guests gather to watch.
  5. Service is straight from the pan, then we pack down.

  • Have seats for most of your guests
  • Count adults and children separately

The rice takes about 20 minutes once it goes in, so we time it carefully. If timings shift, we adapt.

We can. Let us know what you have, and we will quote for the rest.

Do you cater for coeliacs?
