Paella catering for your event in Worcester Park

Live paella catering means we bring the pans, burners and fresh ingredients to your event and cook in front of your guests. Once it is ready, we serve it hot from the pan. Typical bookings include company summer parties and engagement and anniversary parties, serving mixed paella, paella Valenciana and vegan paella.

Around Worcester Park, most London events we are asked about are in gardens, courtyards and hired venues. The thing to plan is parking and unloading, so let us know about parking permits or a driveway. You can add tapas, desserts, sangria, bar staff and waiting staff, so one booking can cover the whole menu.

FAQs for Worcester Park

Can you cater a reception after a service at Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking generally happens at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Can you cook in Hogsmill LNR?

Only if the landowner, typically the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we will send any information they need.

Can you serve drinks?

Sangria, yes. We can also supply bar staff for your own drinks.

How many paellas should we have?

Two or three is usual: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood paella and a vegetable or vegan one. We will suggest a split based on your guests.

How far ahead should we book?

The sooner the better. Peak dates go quickly, so it pays to ask early.

Can you cater for children?

Of course. Children frequently love a simple chicken paella. Include children in your numbers.

Which paellas suit our guests?

Two or three is usual: chicken or mixed, seafood, and vegetable or vegan. See the sample menu.

Can you do gluten-free paella?

We can, if you tell us in advance. The rice is gluten-free, but stocks and chorizo can contain gluten, so we cook a gluten-free paella separately.

The process

We cook over gas burners in wide, shallow pans. We need a level, ventilated spot, and we agree where that is before the day. Around midsummer it stays light in Worcester Park until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening events are generally served in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting where we cook.

  1. Start with the date, the place and the numbers.
  2. We come back with paellas to suit your guests, plus any extras.
  3. Closer to the day, we confirm timings and the cooking spot.
  4. We set up, cook from scratch and keep an eye on your timings.
  5. We serve, then leave our area tidy.

Preparing for the day

  • Leave space around the cooking area
  • Get the venue’s permission for cooking
  • Tell us when you want to eat

Live paella or other catering?

Barbecues cook in batches, so food comes off in waves. Paella is cooked as one big dish and served together. There’s no one-size-fits-all price for live paella. A garden party lunch and a full wedding menu are very different jobs. We itemise everything in your quote.

What you get with us

  • Crockery and waiting staff if you need them

DIY paella versus live catering

You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but you’ll still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. We take care of all of it.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. Booking us means you get the show without the stress.

Planning the cooking area

We cook in large pans over gas burners, so we need a suitable spot. These are the things we check:

  • Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site
  • Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo
  • A safe distance from anything that could catch

Worcester Park is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

  • Starters, canapés and desserts
  • Whether you need crockery
  • How many guests are eating
  • The length of service

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: staff, crockery, sides, travel and VAT. Our quotes spell it all out.

Details that help

When you contact us, it helps to tell us:

  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
  • The date and time of the event
  • The address or venue name
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, plus any dietary needs, and you will get a menu idea and a price. Just fill in our quote form.

Catering for every guest

Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:

  • Mention any other courses or food
  • Ask about diets and allergies on your invitation or RSVP
  • Ensure each pan is labelled
  • Plan a meat, a seafood and a vegetable or vegan pan

You shouldn’t have to worry about the food on the day. We set up, cook and serve, and stay in touch with your venue about timings.

Spanish desserts such as churros or crema catalana finish the meal.
