Paella catering for your event in Parslow's Hillock

Paella is generous food: big pans, bright colours and a crispy base everyone wants a spoonful of. It turns a meal into an occasion. On the menu are seafood paella, chicken and chorizo paella and vegan paella, and we’re frequently booked for leaving dos and retirements and garden parties and summer barbecues.

Somewhere as small as Parslow's Hillock, a garden or field is frequently the venue. Country lanes and long drives are no problem if we know about them, and cooking close to where we can park helps. We bring everything we need to cook, and pack down our cooking area when service is finished.

Why choose live paella in Parslow's Hillock?

Compared with a hog roast or barbecue, paella makes vegetarian, vegan and halal guests easier to cater for, because each paella has its own pan. It is served quickly from the pan, so queues move. Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so your choice of paellas affects the total. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

Why us?

  • Served hot, straight from the pan
  • Sangria and bar staff available
  • Everything cooked fresh at your event
  • Waiting staff and crockery on request

Diets, allergies and planning

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Try these:

  • Plan a meat, a seafood and a vegetable or vegan pan
  • Let us know if anyone has coeliac disease
  • Ask for labels on each pan
  • Send allergies to us in writing

Let the paella rest for a few minutes before serving, and that is when we invite guests up.

Tapas or canapés make a good start as the rice cooks.

The process

Expect a friendly, organised team. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up the pans and burners, and cook and serve without fuss. Around midsummer it stays light in Parslow's Hillock until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening events are normally served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting where we cook.

  1. Start with the date, the place and the numbers.
  2. Expect a menu idea and a clear, itemised price.
  3. A week or so before, we confirm the plan.
  4. On the day we cook live, timed around your event.
  5. We serve, then leave our area tidy.

How to prepare

  • Tell us when you want to eat
  • Have a gazebo or cover ready if rain is likely
  • Name one person we can ask on the day

How we price paella catering

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Your choice of paellas
  • How many guests are eating
  • How long we are needed on site
  • Whether you need crockery

Larger events usually cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

What to tell us

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what’s useful:

  • Where the event is
  • Your date and when you want to eat
  • What the venue already provides
  • A picture of where we’d cook

Each quote is tailored to your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we’ll confirm whether we’re available that day.
