Paella catering for Milebush events

Paella catering in Milebush, cooked live

Live paella catering means we bring the pans, burners and fresh ingredients to your event and cook in front of your guests. Once it’s ready, we serve it hot from the pan. For retirement and leaving parties and christenings and family gatherings, we can cook paella Valenciana, seafood paella and vegetable paella and more.

In a rural place like Milebush, the setting does plenty of the work: a paella cooking in a garden or field feels right at home. Tell us about access and the ground. Tapas, canapés, desserts, sangria and staff can all be added, so one booking can cover the whole menu.

Catering for every guest

Nearly every event has some special diets. To plan for them:

  • Count adults and children separately
  • Let us know if anyone has coeliac disease
  • Mention any other courses or food
  • Make sure most guests can sit to eat

Let the paella rest for a few minutes before serving, and that is when we invite guests up.

Finish with churros, crema catalana or tarta de Santiago.

Should I cook it myself?

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Cooking paella for a crowd yourself is possible, but it is harder than it looks. Large pans need the right burners, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.

The menu, dish by dish

Vegetable and vegan paella

The vegetable pan is a dish in its own right: artichokes, beans, peppers and saffron.

Mixed paella

A mix of chicken and seafood, and a popular all-rounder.

Why choose paella catering in Milebush?

Outdoor events and live paella go together: cooked outside, served hot and shared.

Here are some of the events we cook for:

  • Retirement and leaving parties
  • Birthday celebrations
  • Company summer parties
  • Fairs, fêtes and festivals

If you are celebrating after a service at a church like St Michael and All Angels Church, live paella at a garden or venue nearby works well.

Milebush: venues, travel and local tips

Milebush is about 6 miles south of Maidstone, in Kent. From the centre of Milebush to the outskirts, paella catering works the same way: paella cooked live, every diet catered for and a clear quote. We cook in all 922 towns and villages across Kent. We cook right across the region, from Milebush to Canterbury (about 26 miles away).

For guests coming by train, Marden station is about 1.1 miles away. The High Weald National Landscape is within about 7 miles of Milebush, a lovely setting for an outdoor event. Some venues in protected landscapes have rules about vehicles and cooking, so check with yours.

This part of Kent takes in TN12, so your event can be anywhere in it. Your event could be at a home on Maidstone Road and Milebush Lane or the roads around them. If your venue is just outside Milebush, we also cover St Ann's Green (1 mile east), Underling Green (1 mile north-east), Wanshurst Green (1 mile south-east), Cross-at-Hand (2 miles east) and Marden Thorn (2 miles south). Larger places within reach include Maidstone (6 miles north), Sittingbourne (15 miles north-east), Sevenoaks (15 miles north-west), Royal Tunbridge Wells (11 miles west), Tonbridge (10 miles west) and Kings Hill (7 miles north-west).

A little further out are Sutton Valence Castle (4.2 miles north-east) and Oakwood Hospital (5.7 miles north).

FAQs for Milebush

Can you cook at venues in the High Weald National Landscape?

Yes. Some venues there have rules about vehicles, ground and cooking, so check with yours. We will follow the site rules.

Is Milebush close to London?

About 34 miles from central London.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

A gluten-free pan is no problem. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we take the right care.

What if the weather’s bad?

A covered, ventilated spot keeps us cooking in the rain. We’ll talk it through before the day.

Is paella a full meal?

Yes. Paella with bread and salad makes a full main course.

Do you cook inside?

Indoors only where ventilation and the venue allow it. Most events have us cooking outside or in a doorway or courtyard.

Do you have a kids’ option?

Yes. A simple chicken paella is normally popular with children. Include children in your numbers.

What equipment do you bring?

Pans, burners and ingredients all come with us. You provide a suitable spot and access.

Paella compared with other options

Barbecues cook in batches, so food comes off in waves. Paella is ready all at once, so everyone eats together. The cost per head typically falls as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Why us?

  • Sangria and bar staff available
  • Tapas, canapés and desserts if you want them
  • Crockery and waiting staff if you need them
  • Paella cooked from scratch on site

Working with your venue

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send whatever the landowner or council needs from us.

Hosting a party at home? Send a photo of the space and tell us about parking, and we will let you know if live paella is a good fit.

How it works

We arrive in good time before you want to eat, unload, set up the burners and prepare the stock. Your guests are welcome to watch while it cooks. In Milebush, the sun sets at about 9:15pm in late June and about 7:00pm in late September, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:50pm, so winter events need lighting where we cook.

  1. Get in touch with the basics: when, where and how many.
  2. Expect a menu idea and a clear, itemised price.
  3. Closer to the day, we confirm timings and the cooking spot.
  4. On the day we cook live, timed around your event.
  5. We serve, then leave our area tidy.

Before you choose a spot

Every venue is different, so we ask about the space before we confirm. In general, we need:

  • A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
  • Open air or a well-ventilated covered spot
  • Confirmation that open cooking is allowed

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and we’ll say what we think before you book.
