Paella catering near Grove Green
How our paella catering works in Grove Green
One cooking area feeds plenty of people, there’s very little waste, and the food is served hot. It is why live paella suits so many kinds of event. We cook seafood paella, paella Valenciana and chicken and chorizo paella, and we’re regularly asked to cater birthday celebrations and naming days and family parties.
In a smaller place like Grove Green, a garden party is frequently the simplest option: no venue hire, and nobody stuck cooking. Tell us about access down the lane or drive. All the cooking equipment comes with us, and we clear our cooking area away afterwards.
How we price paella catering
The price comes down to a few factors:
- Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
- How many guests are eating
- Distance and access to the venue
- Timings and hours
Live paella pricing depends on the event. A garden party lunch and a full wedding menu are very different jobs. Your quote spells it all out.
What to tell us
To speed things up, tell us:
- Which courses you have in mind
- Approximate guest numbers, including children
- The date and time of the event
- Anything your venue supplies
Send us the date, your venue or ME14 postcode and guest numbers, along with any dietary needs, and you’ll get a menu idea and a price. Just send us your details through our quote form.
Cook it yourself or book a caterer?
Weighing up DIY against a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.
Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but there is shopping, prep and hours of cooking. A caterer handles all of that.

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and we will say what we think.

Questions from Grove Green
We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Luke: can you cater afterwards?
Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Live cooking typically happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.
What’s the nearest station to Grove Green for guests?
The closest is Bearsted station, roughly 1.3 miles away.
Do you come to Grove Green?
Yes. We cover London and the South East, including Grove Green and the rest of Kent. For a quote, fill in our quote form.
Do you have a kids’ option?
Children are welcome. Let us know numbers and ages, and we’ll plan for them.
What does paella catering cost?
It depends on guest numbers, the menu, the courses, staff and travel. Tell us about your event and we’ll send a quote.
Do you cater for coeliacs?
Yes, on request. The rice is gluten-free, but stocks and chorizo can contain gluten, so we cook a gluten-free paella separately.
How long do you need on site?
We get there in good time to set up. The rice itself takes about 20 minutes, timed around your event.
Do you provide plates and cutlery?
Yes, if you need them. Let us know what you have, and we will quote for the rest.

Planning for every diet
Few dishes handle mixed diets as well as paella, because each paella is cooked in its own pan. A few tips:
- Request clear labels at the serving table
- Mention any other courses or food
- Have seats for most of your guests
- Plan a meat, a seafood and a vegetable or vegan pan
You shouldn’t have to worry about the food on the day. We set up, cook and serve, and stay in touch with your venue about timings.
Sangria and bar staff can be added to serve drinks you provide.
Paella compared with other options
Food trucks and street-food vans serve one portion at a time. A big pan serves many guests fast, so everyone can eat at the same time. Compared with a plated meal, live paella is frequently good value, as there is no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. Ask us for a quote.
What you get with us
- Crockery and waiting staff if you need them
- Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests
- Paella cooked from scratch on site
- Drinks service on request

Working with your venue
If you are planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.
For larger events, we plan the number of pans and serving points around your timings, so everyone eats promptly. Let us know how long the food break is.
How it works
We take care of the food from set-up to service, so you are free to enjoy your event. If you’ve chosen tapas or canapés, they go out first while the paella cooks. Around midsummer it stays light in Grove Green until about 9:15pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:00pm, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. For winter events, when it is dark by about 3:50pm, we need lighting at the cooking spot.
- You tell us the date, venue, guest numbers and any dietary needs.
- We put together a menu and a clear quote.
- We arrive early, set up the cooking area and start the stock.
- The rice cooks in full view, while tapas or canapés go round.
- We serve it hot from the pan and clear our area when service ends.
Preparing for the day
- Plan cover in case of rain
- Make sure we can park close by to unload
- Tell us when you want to eat
