Paella catering for Enfield events
How our paella catering works in Enfield
Live paella catering means we bring the pans, burners and fresh ingredients to your event and cook in front of your guests. When it is ready, it’s served straight from the pan. Whether it’s retirement celebrations and garden parties and summer barbecues, we can cook seafood paella, black rice and chicken and chorizo paella for your guests.
Gardens in London can be narrow, which is fine for live paella as long as there’s a level spot clear of fences and trees. For an event in Enfield, tell us where we can park to unload. The paella is served straight from the pan, so it’s hot and generous, and a queue moves quickly.

Is live paella right for your event?
A plated meal needs a kitchen, more staff and generally costs more per head. Live paella needs only a level, ventilated spot and permission to cook, and gives guests something to watch. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the courses, plus any staff, crockery and travel. We quote for each event individually.
Why book with us
- Crockery and waiting staff if you need them
- Live cooking, not reheated food
- Starters and desserts to complete the menu
- Sangria, plus bar staff for your own drinks

The menu, dish by dish
Mixed paella
Paella mixta combines meat and seafood in one pan, and it’s often the first pan to empty.
Seafood paella
The secret is a well-made seafood stock. Shellfish goes in towards the end so it stays tender.
The process
From set-up to serving, we look after the food, so you’re free to enjoy your event. Any tapas or canapés are served first while the paella cooks. In Enfield, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so summer evening events are normally served in daylight. For winter events, when it’s dark by about 3:50pm, we need lighting at the cooking spot.
- Start with the date, the place and the numbers.
- We come back with paellas to suit your guests, plus any extras.
- A week or so before, we confirm the plan.
- We set up, cook from scratch and keep an eye on your timings.
- We serve, then leave our area tidy.
Getting ready for the day
- Give us a contact for the day
- Ensure the spot is clear of anything flammable
- Choose a level spot for the cooking area

Common questions in Enfield
We are having a ceremony at Church of St Andrew: can you cater afterwards?
Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is normally elsewhere. Tell us where the reception will be.
What about parking in Enfield?
London parking needs planning: let us know about permits or off-street space. We’ll work around it.
How many paellas should we have?
Two or three covers most guests. Tell us about your guests’ diets and we will suggest the mix.
What does paella catering cost?
Every event is quoted individually, based on what you actually want. Tell us your date and numbers and we’ll reply with a price.
How far ahead should we book?
As soon as you have a date. Peak dates go quickly, so it pays to ask early.
Do you cover Enfield?
Yes. We cater across London and the South East, and Enfield is within our area and the rest of Greater London. To check your date, fill in our quote form.
Can you bring crockery?
We can. Let us know what you have, and we’ll quote for the rest.
Can you cater for children?
Yes, children are easy to cater for. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we’ll plan a pan with them in mind.
Dietary needs and planning tips
Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. Our advice:
- Make sure each pan is labelled
- Choose two or three paellas so every guest has a choice
- Let us know about other food at the event
- Send allergies to us in writing
If you’ve booked staff, they’ll serve, clear and help keep things moving, so you can relax.
Sangria and bar staff can be added to serve drinks you provide.

For planners, venues and organisers
Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll talk you through the process. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.
If you are planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.
DIY paella versus live catering
For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles separate pans for each diet.
Some hosts like to cook themselves. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the cooking.

Where we can cook in Enfield
Most outdoor spaces and many venues work for live paella, but a few things matter:
- Good ventilation: outdoors, or an open-sided cover
- Parking close enough to carry equipment
- Space well away from trees, fences and gazebo walls
Enfield is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.
If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and we’ll say what we think.

What affects the price in Enfield
Each event is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:
- Timings and hours
- Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
- Whether you need crockery
- Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so your choice of paellas affects the total. Tell us your budget and we’ll suggest a menu.
