Typical bookings include big birthdays and office lunches and staff parties, with vegan paella, chicken and chorizo paella and seafood paella.

In a hamlet or village like Crowhurst Lane End, your own garden or a neighbour’s field can make a wonderful venue. Mention gates and soft ground when you contact us. Everything is cooked from scratch at your event, never made in advance and reheated.

Prices and what affects them

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, because of:

  • How many guests are eating
  • Waiting and bar staff
  • The paellas you choose
  • Plates, cutlery and glassware

There is no one-size-fits-all price for live paella. A garden party lunch and a full wedding menu are very different jobs. We itemise everything in your quote.

What to tell us

You do not need everything decided to ask for a quote, but it helps to know:

  • The date and time of the event
  • A picture of where we’d cook
  • Whether the venue has crockery or staff
  • Expected numbers

We quote for each event separately, so the price fits what you actually want. To ask for one, use our quote form.

How it works

When we arrive, we set up the burners and pans and start cooking the sofrito and stock. The rice goes in about 20 minutes before serving, so we time everything to your schedule. Evenings in Crowhurst Lane End stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm; after dark, the cooking and serving areas need good lighting.

  1. You share your date, numbers and venue.
  2. We plan the menu with you, including every diet.
  3. We arrive in good time to set up.
  4. The sofrito, stock and rice go in, and guests gather to watch.
  5. Service is straight from the pan, then we pack down.

Getting ready for the day

Is Crowhurst Lane End too small for live paella?

Which areas do you serve?

London and the South East: Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight.

Sangria, yes. For other drinks, we can provide bar staff to serve what you buy.

Can you serve tapas as well?

Yes. Canapé tapas with the drinks, or table tapas to share, while the rice is cooking.

Hosting a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about parking, and we’ll let you know if live paella is a good fit.

Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We will provide any information the landowner or council asks for.

  • Christenings and family gatherings
  • Birthday celebrations
  • Wedding breakfasts and evening food
  • Festivals, fairs and school events

Choosing a paella caterer

Catering for every guest

We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests. To get it right:

  • Plan seating for most guests: paella is easiest eaten sitting down
  • Request clear labels at the serving table
  • Let us know about other food at the event
  • Collect dietary needs with your RSVPs

If you’ve booked staff, they’ll serve, clear and help keep things moving, so you can relax.

Spanish desserts such as churros or crema catalana finish the meal, or serve your own cake.

Why choose live paella in Crowhurst Lane End?
