Paella catering in Adversane

How our paella catering works in Adversane

Live paella catering means we bring the pans, burners and fresh ingredients to your event and cook in front of your guests. Once it is ready, we serve it hot from the pan. On the menu are mixed paella, vegetable paella and paella Valenciana, and we are frequently booked for naming days and family parties and birthday celebrations.

In a rural place like Adversane, the setting does a lot of the work: a paella cooking in a garden or field feels right at home. Let us know about access and ground conditions. We serve straight from the pan, so it is hot and generous, and service is quick once it is ready.

Your questions about paella catering in Adversane

How far is Adversane from London?

About 38 miles from central London, and we cover it as standard.

Which station should guests use for Adversane?

The closest is Billingshurst station, roughly 1.5 miles away.

Is halal food available?

We can. Tell us how many guests need halal food, and we will cook a separate pan.

Will there be enough food?

We plan quantities from your guest numbers, timings and other courses, with a little extra built in. Give us accurate numbers for the best result.

Is the paella gluten-free?

We can cook a gluten-free paella in its own pan. Tell us about any coeliac guests when you book so we can plan it carefully.

Can we choose the seafood?

We’ll suggest seafood to suit your menu and budget. Premium options are available.

Do you bring everything you need?

Pans, burners and ingredients all come with us. You just need a suitable spot and access.

Should we have more than one paella?

Normally two or three, so every guest has a choice. Tell us about your guests’ diets and we will suggest the mix.

Planning for every diet

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Have seats for most of your guests
  • Confirm allergies by email
  • Give us separate numbers for children
  • Collect dietary needs with your RSVPs

The rice takes about 20 minutes once it goes in, so we time it carefully. If plans change, tell us and we’ll adjust.

Bread, salad and lemon go well alongside.

Prices and what affects them

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, depending on:

  • Plates, cutlery and glassware
  • Waiting and bar staff
  • Your choice of paellas
  • How many guests are eating

Larger events usually cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

Details that help

To speed things up, tell us:

  • The date and rough timings
  • Expected numbers
  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
  • The venue or postcode

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, along with any dietary needs, and you’ll get a menu idea and a price. To get started, fill in our quote form.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

Cold buffets are easy but forgettable, and the food sits out. Paella is cooked in front of your guests and served hot. Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: staff, crockery, sides, travel and VAT. Our quotes spell it all out.

Why us?

  • Cooking your guests will gather round to watch
  • Hot food served quickly from the pan
  • Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests
  • We cover Adversane and the whole of West Sussex

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

How the day works

We take care of the food from set-up to service, so you’re free to enjoy your event. If you’ve chosen tapas or canapés, they go out first while the paella cooks. Evenings in Adversane stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm; after dark, the cooking and serving areas need good lighting.

  1. Get in touch with the basics: when, where and how many.
  2. We come back with paellas to suit your guests, plus any extras.
  3. A week or so before, we confirm the plan.
  4. We set up, cook from scratch and keep an eye on your timings.
  5. We serve, then leave our area tidy.

Getting ready for the day

  • Tell us where to park and unload
  • Have a level space ready for the pans
  • Give us your final numbers and diets

Planners, venues and businesses

Events in public spaces, like parks, typically need permission. We can send whatever the landowner or council needs from us.

If you are organising for someone else, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we will work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

About the dishes

Seafood paella

Seafood paella starts with a good fish and shellfish stock. Shellfish goes in towards the end so it stays tender.

Vegetable and vegan paella

A vegetable paella is not an afterthought: artichokes, beans, peppers and saffron.
