Festival paella catering for Monkhams events
About our festival paella catering in Monkhams
A paella stall covers several diets at once: separate meat, seafood and vegan pans. That makes life easier for organisers. We’re frequently asked to cater farmers’ and Christmas markets and VIP and hospitality areas, with chicken and chorizo paella, vegan paella and giant-pan paella.
Events in Monkhams range from street parties and school fairs to markets and festivals. Organisers generally need council permission for public spaces, and we will provide what the organiser asks for. We bring everything we need to cook, and pack down our cooking area when service is finished.

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?
Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.
Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. We’re happy to give you a quote to compare.

Monkhams: your questions answered
What about parking in Monkhams?
London parking needs planning: let us know about permits or off-street space. We will plan unloading around it.
Could we have live paella in The Highams Park?
Only with permission from the park’s owner, generally the council. Ask them first, and we will send any information they need.
Do you have a kids’ option?
Of course. Children frequently love a simple chicken paella. Tell us how many are coming.
Can you handle a lunchtime rush?
Service from the pan is fast, ideal for peak times.
Can you cook in the rain?
We cook under cover, like a gazebo or open-sided marquee. We plan for rain with you in advance.
How many paellas should we have?
Most events have two or three: meat or mixed, seafood, and vegetable or vegan. We will help you decide the split.
Can you feed our volunteers?
We can. Crew, volunteer and VIP catering is available, with or without a public stall.
How do you work out quantities?
Quantities depend on numbers, timing and courses, with a little extra built in. Accurate numbers help.
Planning for every diet
With a little notice, every diet is easy. We suggest:
- Ask for allergen information at each stall
- Ask traders about serving speed at peak times
- Plan seating near the food area
- Put all trader information in one pack
Allergen details are available at the stall.
Larger pans for peak times.
Live paella or other catering?
Not every trader covers vegans. A paella stall can have a vegan pan alongside the rest. Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. Everything is confirmed in writing.

Step by step
When we arrive, we set up the burners and pans and start cooking the sofrito and stock. The rice goes in about 20 minutes before serving, so the timing is planned around your event. At midsummer, events in Monkhams stay light until about 9:20pm, so evening trading usually finishes in daylight in high summer. Winter markets, dark by about 3:50pm, need a well-lit pitch.

Planning help
What festival paella catering costs
These are the factors that matter most:
- Travel, parking and access
- Whether you need crockery
- How many staff you need
- The length of service
Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so the menu you choose affects the price. We’ll suggest options to suit your budget.
What to tell us
For a quote, it helps to have:
- A picture of the space, if you can
- The venue or postcode
- Any dietary needs and allergies
- The courses you’d like
Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, plus any dietary needs, and you’ll get a menu idea and a price. Just fill in our quote form.
