Festival paella catering in Monk's Gate, made fresh on the day

A paella stall covers several diets at once: meat, seafood and vegan pans side by side. That simplifies your food line-up. On the menu are chicken and chorizo paella, giant-pan paella and seafood paella, and we’re regularly asked to cater sports club events and open days and community events.

At a fête or field event near Monk's Gate, a paella stall brings a hot, filling meal to a rural site. Tell us about the ground and access. Everything is cooked from scratch at your event, not reheated, and served as soon as it is ready.

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. Large pans need the right burners, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

How it works

When the rice goes in, it is left alone. That is what gives paella its separate grains and crispy base. The smell normally draws people over. For an evening event in Monk's Gate, sunset is about 8:50pm in late May and 9:20pm in late June; after that, the pitch needs good lighting.

  1. Tell us about the event and pitch.
  2. We confirm menu, pitch needs and documents.
  3. We arrive and set up at the agreed time.
  4. We cook in full view and serve all event.
  5. We pack down and tidy the pitch.

What festival paella catering costs

Each event is quoted on its own, based on a few main things:

  • Whether you need crockery
  • The paellas you choose
  • How many staff you need
  • Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the courses, along with staff, extras and travel. We quote for each event individually.

Details that help

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what’s useful:

  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • A picture of where we’d cook
  • The date and rough timings

Every event is quoted individually, so you only pay for what you need. To ask for one, send us your details through our quote form.

Organising for someone else?

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can hold the date.

Hosting a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about parking, and we’ll tell you honestly whether live paella will work.

Live paella or other catering?

Not every trader covers vegans. A paella stall can have a vegan pan alongside the rest. The cost per head generally falls as numbers rise, because the cooking set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.
