Festival paella catering for your event in Lagness

Paella eats well from a bowl with a fork, standing up or sitting on the grass. Popular choices include seafood paella, chicken and chorizo paella and vegan paella, and we’re regularly asked to cater sports clubs and race days and summer fairs and fêtes.

For a village fête or field event near Lagness, we can bring hot food to a rural site. Ground conditions and access matter, so tell us about them. Timings are planned around your event, whether that’s speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

Choosing a paella caterer

Why choose live paella in Lagness?

Hot-cabinet food lacks theatre. Paella cooking in full view sells itself. Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so it helps to tell us about your venue. The full price is confirmed before you book.

Why book with us

  • Plates, cutlery and waiting staff available
  • Live cooking, not reheated food
  • We cover Lagness and the whole of West Sussex
  • Tapas, canapés and desserts if you want them

Should I cook it myself?

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. Booking us means you get the show without the stress.

A DIY paella party works for small groups. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles separate pans for each diet.

How the day works

Serving is fast: we serve straight from the pan, so even a long queue moves. Afterwards we clear our cooking area away. At midsummer, events in Lagness stay light until about 9:20pm, which helps evening trading. For winter markets, dark by about 4:00pm, the pitch needs lighting.

  1. You send us the event, dates and pitch details.
  2. We confirm our menu, pitch needs and documents.
  3. On the day, we arrive and set up our pitch.
  4. Pans cook in full view and we serve throughout the event.
  5. At the end, we clear our pitch.

How to prepare

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to cook
  • Share the running order, including any speeches

Common questions in Lagness

Do you trade at school fairs around Lagness?

Yes, with the school’s permission. Tell us the date and pitch details.

Can you cook in Avisford?

Only with permission from the park’s owner, generally the council. Ask them first, and we’ll send any information they need.

Do you cook inside?

Mostly outside or under an open cover, since the burners are gas. We’ll check whether your venue has a suitable space.

Can you serve drinks?

Sangria, yes. We can also supply bar staff for your own drinks.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

We can cook a gluten-free paella in its own pan. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we can plan it carefully.

Who clears up?

We take our equipment and leave the cooking area tidy. Table clearing is available with waiting staff.

Is halal food available?

Yes, we do. Halal paella is cooked with halal chicken and no pork or alcohol, in a separate pan.

Do you cook it at the event?

Yes. We cook from scratch in large pans at your venue, where your guests can watch.

Before you choose a spot

If a space isn’t suitable, we’ll tell you, and suggest an alternative. What matters most:

  • Room for our cooking and serving area
  • Trader information and site rules
  • Vehicle access before and after the event

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

Prices and what affects them

We’ll give you a clear, itemised quote. What affects it most:

  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • Your choice of paellas
  • How long we’re needed on site
  • Guest numbers

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the courses, plus any staff, crockery and travel. We quote for each event individually.
