Paella being cooked in a big pan at an indoor food market

Dishes our guests love

Giant paella pans

It’s the huge pan people come to see.

Vegan paella

A proper vegan main, in its own pan.

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but there is shopping, prep and hours of cooking. A caterer handles all of that.

Common questions in Gordon Hill

Do you trade at school fairs around Gordon Hill?

Yes, with the school’s permission. Send us the date, pitch and expected numbers.

Could we have live paella in Enfield Town Park?

Only with permission from the park’s owner, generally the council. Check with them, and we will provide our paperwork.

Is halal food available?

Yes, on request. Tell us how many guests need halal food, and we’ll cook a separate pan.

Can the paella be cooked in a hall?

Only in a suitable, well-ventilated area with the venue’s permission. Most events have us cooking outside or in a doorway or courtyard.

Where do you cater?

We cover London and the South East, Greater London included. Find your area.

Should we have more than one paella?

Most events have two or three: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood paella and a vegetable or vegan one. We will help you decide the split.

Do you provide plates and cutlery?

Yes, on request. Proper crockery or quality disposables can be added to your booking.

Will there be enough food?

Pans are sized to your numbers and other courses. Let us know about any other food. Our guide to portions explains more.

Paella compared with other options

Most stalls cook to order. Paella is cooked in big batches and served from the pan, keeping queues short. Larger events normally cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Step by step

We arrive in good time before you want to eat, unload, set up the burners and prepare the stock. Guests normally gather round to watch as the paella takes shape. At midsummer, events in Gordon Hill stay light until about 9:20pm, which helps evening trading. For winter markets, dark by about 3:50pm, the pitch needs lighting.

  1. Tell us about the event, the crowd and the pitch.
  2. You get our stall menu and what we need on site.
  3. Paperwork goes over in good time.
  4. We time the first pans for the lunchtime rush.
  5. At close, we pack down and tidy up.
