Can you bring crockery?

If you need them, yes. Crockery, cutlery and napkins, or good-quality disposables can be added to your booking.

Do you take everything away?

We pack down our cooking area after service. Clearing guests’ plates and tables can be added with waiting staff.

How much space do you need?

How we price corporate paella catering

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Plates, cutlery and glassware
  • How many staff you need
  • Guest numbers
  • Distance and access to the venue

Premium seafood costs more than chicken or vegetables, so the menu you choose affects the price. We’ll suggest options to suit your budget.

Getting an accurate quote

Good planning starts with a few facts. Please include:

  • The date and time of the event
  • What the venue already provides
  • A picture of the space, if you can
  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts

To get a price, use our quote form. Give us the details of your work event, and we will suggest paellas and extras to suit.

Diets, allergies and planning

Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:

  • Find out what paperwork the venue needs
  • Collect dietary needs when people sign up
  • Plan shade and seating for outdoor events
  • Check the building or venue allows live cooking

Service is timed to your schedule, whether that’s a lunch break or an evening party.

Step by step

Once the rice is in, we do not stir it. That’s how the grains cook evenly and the toasted base, the socarrat, forms. Your guests will smell it before they see it. After-work summer parties in Maltman's Hill have daylight until about 9:15pm in late June and 7:00pm in late September; for winter events, dark by about 3:50pm, we need lighting.

  1. Send us the date, venue, numbers, timings and diets.
  2. You get a menu, a quote and any documents the venue asks for.
  3. We arrange access and timings with your facilities team or venue.
  4. We cook live on the day and serve on schedule.
  5. We pack down and leave the space tidy.

How to prepare

  • Confirm the venue is happy with live cooking
  • Let us know who to talk to on the day
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time

DIY paella versus live catering

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Some hosts like to cook themselves. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the cooking.

What we need at the venue

We cook in large pans over gas burners, so the cooking area needs a little planning. These are the things we check:

  • Confirmation that open cooking is allowed
  • Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo
  • Access for unloading near the cooking spot

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and we’ll say what we think.

Is live paella right for your work event?

If you want catering that becomes part of the event, live paella is a strong choice. Live paella pricing depends on the event. A garden party lunch and a full wedding menu are very different jobs. Your quote spells it all out.

Why book with us

  • Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests
  • Tapas, canapés and desserts if you want them
  • Fast service from the pan
  • Crockery and waiting staff if you need them
