Sharing a pan of paella at the table

For planners, venues and organisers

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send whatever the landowner or council needs from us.

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we will talk you through the process. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.

The process

Once the rice is in, we don’t stir it. That’s what gives paella its separate grains and crispy base. The smell usually draws people over. In Brattle, a summer staff party stays light until about 9:15pm; winter events, dark by about 3:50pm, need lit cooking and serving areas.

  1. You tell us the date, venue, numbers, timings and dietary needs.
  2. We send a menu, a price and the paperwork for your venue.
  3. Access, parking and set-up are agreed with you or facilities.
  4. The paella cooks in front of your team and is served at the agreed time.
  5. Afterwards, our area is cleared and left clean.

Preparing for the day

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Share the running order, including any speeches

  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
  • Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood

  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
  • The date and time of the event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers
  • The venue or postcode

Each quote is tailored to your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we’ll confirm whether we are available that day.

Dietary needs and planning tips

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Ask what the venue requires from caterers

FAQs for Brattle

How far is Brattle from London?

Roughly 48 miles from the centre of London, and well within our area.

Is Brattle too small for live paella?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.

Can you cater a winter event?

With the right covered space, yes. Hot paella in winter is popular.

What about pudding?

We do. Spanish desserts such as churros or crema catalana.

Who clears up?

Our cooking area is packed away and left clean. Ask us about table clearing if you need it.

What paperwork do you have?

Send us the venue’s requirements.

Can you cook at our office?

Often, yes, if there’s a suitable outdoor or well-ventilated space and the building allows it. We will check with your facilities team.

Which areas do you serve?

London and South East England: Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Bucks, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight, including Brattle.

Live paella or other catering?

Buffets can leave food sitting out. Paella is served hot as soon as it’s ready. Larger events normally cost less per head, because the cooking set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

What you get with us

  • Every diet catered for, pan by pan
  • Tapas, canapés and desserts if you want them
  • Sangria and bar staff available
  • Hot food served quickly from the pan

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

A DIY paella party works for small groups. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles separate pans for each diet.

If you do cook yourself, test the pan and burner together beforehand, have hot stock ready, and do not stir once the rice goes in. And keep children and pets well away from the burner.
